In the most Eastern part of the province of Malaga you’ll find the region called the Axarquia. Its 1.019 km2 is geographically located to the West by the mountains of Malaga and in the South by the Mediterranean Sea. The Sierras of Camarolos, Jobo, Alhama and Tejeda define its Northern boundary, next to the mountain ranges of the Sierra Almijara in the East, a natural arch separating it from the province of Granada. Precisely 350m above sea level and on the southern slope of the latter mountain is the village of Frigiliana. This municipality, with an area of 39.74km2, populated by 3,071 inhabitants, ends in the North at the village of Competa, Torrox to the West and finally, lying in the East and South, Nerja.

Frigiliana is located just 6kms from Nerja with its magnificent beaches and world-famous caves. You can find Malaga located just 50kms to the West and in only 90 minutes or less we can be in the centre of Granada

The road infrastructure that reaches Frigiliana is enviable. The Mediterranean motorway, A-7, reaches the actual boundaries of Frigiliana. Exit 292 on this motorway leaves us only 3.5kms from the village centre via the b road, MA-5105 so it only takes approximately 5 minutes to get here once leaving the motorway.

If you were to arrive at Malaga airport, it would only take approximately 45 minutes to arrive, not counting the last section, the b road when leaving the motorway

If you were coming from Granada, once arriving at Motril you would take the N340, which borders the coast and links to the A-7 at Salobreña.

Frigiliana-Granada: Approximately 80 mins. Mostly via the motorway.
Frigiliana-Málaga: Approximately 45 mins. 100% via motorway.
Frigiliana-Aeropuerto de Málaga: Approximately 50 mins. 100% via motorway.
